Electroacupuncture can very effectively release muscle knots and tension.  The process is akin to a deep massage, but can penetrate more effectively and is much more gentle.  Often patients have tried sports massage, physio, standard pain killers, referrals to specialists.. etc before finding relief with this treatment.

Healing processes

Acupuncture stimulates your body's healing processes, particularly in the local area, but also systemically across your body.  This is useful when tissues have a poor blood supply (eg tendons, joints), or there are underlying health issues to also consider.
